It is CRAZY to think that this is my sixth month here in Shayandima, South Africa. This first term of the new year has put me in some new roles, so prepare for the rundown:
I am serving as a monitor in Sapphire Learning Center (Grade 3s and 4s), a classroom with fifty students, a fourth of which have need of special academic attention.
I am the art teacher for Shayandima School of Tommorrow, and I also am teaching guitar and piano lessons to a group of older students.
I am also the "Long Distance Running" coach, teaching running technique to different groups of students every Wednesday. (.....I know its funny. Elle+Athletics=Danger.
ha ha ha yes we get it, laugh it up)

We also head out on our mission trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana in two weeks. We've been planning skits, and songs to play in the hospitals, and also been reading and preparing for the street evangelism opportunities. I also discovered that I have the opportunity to go to Zambia with my brother and my dad, and the awesome people of Grace Point church on the 9th of June! So I will be taking the bus down to Jo-burg on the 8th of June to meet up with that awesome team, right at the end of my stay here in Shayandima. Its amazing what God has been teaching me, and using me for. Everyday I thank God that I get to pour love and care over the precious precious children of this school. Being a part of their sweet lives is a gift beyond words. Anyways, thats my quick little update, can't wait to give you guys pics from our Zim/Botswana trip! God bless, thanks for reading.
